- Cumin Seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam Masala: 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt: To taste
- Oil: For frying
For the Gravy:
- Onions: 2 medium-sized, finely chopped
- Tomatoes: 3, pureed
- Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tablespoon
- Green Chilies: 2, slit
- Cumin Seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Coriander Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Garam Masala: 1 teaspoon
- Cream or Yogurt: 1/4 cup (optional)
- Salt: To taste
- Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Water: As needed

Instructions:
Making the Koftas:
Prepare the Bottle Gourd:
- Peel and grate the bottle gourd. Squeeze out the excess water and keep it aside. Save the squeezed water for the gravy.
